The Taco clutch is a stylish and simple to make clutch style purse, with only one pattern piece and a zip. Unzipped it packs completely flat for travel, storage or posting so it is a perfect design for gifts or for selling in your online store or market stall.

Computer drafted, print and cut pdf. pattern. (no scaling required)
Step by step tutorial with photos.

The finished Taco clutch is approx. 24cm wide, 10cm high at the highest point, and 7cm thick at the thickest point.

Suggested fabrics include; 3mm thick felt, firm leather, or any other fabric that does not fray (that is, the cut edges do not need finishing) and is heavy weight and firm. Softer more supple fabrics will not hold their shape when the clutch is zipped.

DIFFICULTY: advanced beginner - if you can sew a zip or want to give it a try

A 25cm by 35cm piece of suitable fabric (see above for suitable fabrics)

One 50cm long piece of no.5 continuous zip (5mm across the teeth) and 2 zip sliders
Co-ordinating thread as needed
